With dedicated hosting (also known as "managed hosting") the Internet Service Provider (that's us) will supply the client (that's you) with their very own server. That server, including all related hardware, software, routing equipment and network connectivity, is then monitored and maintained by the ISP.

What methods of payment do you accept?
TAP accepts all major credit cards (American Express, Master Card & Visa), cheques and bank transfers. You will not be invoiced until your server goes on-line, following which you will be invoiced each month thereafter.

Can Tap provide dial-up services to access my web site privately (not over the internet)?
We can, with both 56k analog modems or ISDN services.

What are your network connections?
TAP is connected through high-speed fibre to a multi-homed connection to ensure no single point of failure.

What about monitoring?
TAP monitors all servers and TAP technicians are paged automatically in the event of a problem.

Will there be a statistics program installed on my server?
Absolutely. Any statistics from uptime, to number of web site hits can be compiled for viewing.

What tape back-up solutions do you offer?
All machines backup to a central file server nightly. All tapes are stored in our off-site, fire-safe, secured facility. Tape rotation is performed late Sunday evenings unless otherwise specified.

What security measures are taken at Tap?
Tap takes security very seriously. Every precaution is taken to ensure that absolutely nobody has access to your server other than our technical staff. All servers connect to the Internet through a firewall and IDS (Intrusion Detection System), and each individual server is audited to ensure it follows proper security procedures. The system room is only accessible by a select few and is continuously guarded by fierce lion dogs.
